Jennifer Hudson is a wonderful boss. She bought her assistant Walter Williams a house for Christmas. The two have been friends since they were in sixth grade at Yale Elementary together. Hudson posted a video of Walter's reaction to the news of her very generous gift on Instagram.

Rose McGowan personally witnessed a knockout game attack yesterday in Venice. McGowan tweeted about the incident involving an assault on a 65-year-old man. McGowan said that she chased the assailant who was wearing a mask and called 911 when he got away.

2014 kicked off on a sad note for Spike Lee. His younger brother Christopher Lee passed away on New Year's Eve. The acclaimed director announced the news on Instagram. Spike did not reveal any details on the cause of his brother's death. There will be a memorial service on Saturday in Brooklyn for Christopher.
