Heidi Klum and Seal Confirm Divorce

One of Hollywood's leading couples, Heidi Klum and Seal, have decided to split after 7 years of marriage.

In an official joint statement released to People Magazine, the couple said,
"While we have enjoyed 7 very loving, loyal, and happy years of marriage, after much soul searching, we have decided to separate. We have had the deepest respect for one another throughout our relationship and continue to love each other very much, but we have grown apart. This is an amicable process and protecting the well-being of our children remains our top priority, especially during this time of transition. We thank our family, friends, and fans for their kind words of support. And for our children's sake, we appreciate you respecting our privacy."

The supermodel and singer-songwriter have three biological children together, and Seal is the adopted father of Heidi's daughter from a previous relationship.

Now, this news comes as a bit of a shock to us all, as the couple is widely known for their public declarations of deep love for one another, not to mention their lavish-annual-vow- renewal ceremonies and blowout Halloween parties.

TMZ reports there are 2 main reasons behind the split: 1, Heidi couldn't put up with Seal's "volcanic temper" anymore, and 2, their busy careers have created a distance between them.

While the couple has not confirmed whether or not they plan to divorce, TMZ also stated that Heidi will be filing as early as this week in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences.
